"Horse Riding" (Pelangi Activity)

On Monday, 5 March 2012, "Pelangi" conducted Horse Riding activity that took place SJKP Horse Riding School Intercon. The aim of the activity is to improve the integration sensory that would benefit the learning process for special need kids. The horse riding activity took around 2 hours, 9.00 - 11.00. The kids were excited to have horse riding activity together with friends.

Monthly Visit of Grade 3

On Monday 27 February, Grade 3 (Al-Hamra) got a chance to observe and experience the making of handy-craft in "Lamara" workshop. "Lamara" is the brand of handy-craft that was made by Nada's mom and her employees. The visit was started by leaving the school to Nada's house around 10 o'clock, after the students had snack time. It took around half an hour to reach Nada's house from school. In Nada's house (and "Lamara" workshop as well), the students got a brief explanation about the daily activity of "Lamara" crew. Later, the students got a chance to taste the making of handy-craft by themselves. The kids looked so serious and excited in making the craft. They were also helped by the crew. After making the craft, the students interviewed "Lamara" crew to know a bit about their job description. The new experience and warm welcome from Nada's family and "Lamara" crew really made the students' day^_^.

Monthly Visit of Grade 1

In February Monthly Visit, Grade 1 (Borobudur)got a chance to see and had brief observation of Monas, the signature of Jakarta. The students learnt about function of wind (the benefits of wind for human) while getting to top of Monas. Before leaving, the kids bought some kites to play.The kids were so excited to see Monas, especially got the experience to be at the top and played the kites.

Monthly Visit of Grade 5

Still in February, on Friday 10 February in precise, students of Grade 5 (the Great Wall of China)had their Monthly Visit in Kiki's house. They left to Kiki's house by public transport. In Kiki's house, the students were welcomed by Kiki's family and started to get to know each other. The kids looked so happy with the visit, they also had chat with the family asking about Kiki's family's daily activities. Besides felt the warmth of Kiki's family, the students were also pleased to get the experience for geeting ride by public transport (angkot).

On the same day the Pre-School and Kindergarten had Monthly Visit, Grade 2 (the Pyramid) also had Monthly Visit. This time, Grade 2 visited Vagatha's house. The aim of the visit is to get to know Vagatha's family , and learn the family tree (in brief) of Vagatha's family. After getting to know with Vagatha's family, the kids had games and colouring pictures activity.

BigBro & BigSis - 29 Feb'2012

Big Bro Big Sis is one of the Annual Events of Lazuardi Cordova GIS. It is aimed at strengthening the bond between the kids (juniors) and their seniors.In previous years, Big Bro Big Sis had Art and Craft activities.This year, it was a little bit different. It took games, and a little touch of out bond. Yet, it was still about strengthening the bonding between the juniors and seniors, build the awareness that we are brothers and sisters.

LazCor Fair is one of Lazuardi Cordova GIS annual Event. It might be considered as the ultimate event of Lazuardi Cordova GIS. The Theme of LazCor Fair this year was "Future School". It was chosen because Lazuardi Cordova GIS intended to be a future school, a school where kids would learn things and gain skills to prepare for their life.

The Celebration of Prophet Muhammad PUBH (SAW) Birthday

On 3 February, 2012. Lazuardi Cordova GIS West Jakarta celebrated the birthday of prophet Muhammad PBUH (SAW). The event presented some performances like shalawat and singing from the students of Lazuardo Cordova. After the performance, the event then be continued with dua, led by mr.Harlih (therapist of Iza grade 6). The event was finally closed with enjoying the potluck by the both the teaching staffs and the students.

Evaluasi Kegiatan Pelangi

Alhamdulillah kegiatan outbound pelangi yang diadakan di sekolah pada hari Selasa, 01 Nopember 2011. Berjalan dengan lancar dan baik. Ananda yang mengikuti yaitu, Ezranio (Grade 1), Khansa (Grade 2), Rafif H (Grade 3), Daffa (Grade 3), Fadhil (Grade 5), Izza (Grade 6). Kegiatan ini dimulai dari "Ruang Pelangi", Yaitu permainan : Papan keseimbangan, terowongan, Papan titian. Dilanjutkan dengan lapangan basket, melempar-tangkap bola, menendang bola, memasukkan bola basket. Yang terakhir di rumah joglo, Melompat 1 & 2 kaki, memasukkan bola kecil ke dalam keranjang dan berlari. Ananda sangat bersemangat dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini.

Pentas Budaya SD

Pentas Budaya "Exploring the Beauty Of Kalimantan and Nusa Tenggara"

Pada hari kamis tanggal 27 Oktober 2011, Lazuardi Cordova Global Islamic School menyelenggarakan acara tahunan Pentas Budaya (Culture Performance), yang kali ini bertajuk "Exploring the Beauty of Kalimantan and Nusa Tenggara". Acara dibuka dengan penampilan solo (solo performance) piano oleh Ara, siswi kelas 1 (Grade 1 : Borobudur) yang tampil dengan memikat. Penampilan oleh Ara yang sekaligus membuka rangkaian acara Pentas Budaya ini, kemudian dilanjutkan oleh penampilan dari siswa-siswi kelas 1 yang membawakan tarian Perang. Penampilan kelas 1 tersebut dilanjutkan oleh kelas 3 (Grade 3 : Al-Hamra) yang menampilkan tarian Perang dan Gong yang dikemas dalam bentuk drama musikal. Penampilan tarian yang lain juga hadir dari kelas 2 (Grade 2 :Pyramid) dan kelas 4 (Grade 4 : Taj Mahal) yang membawakan tarian khas kalimantan Timur dan Tarian Giring-giring. Acara Pentas Budaya ini juga menampilkan sesuatu yang berbeda yang dipersembahkan oleh kelas 5 (Grade 5: Great Wall of Cina) dimana siswa-siswi kelas 5 menampilkan suatu drama yang bertema liburan ke Nusa Tenggara. Selain itu, siswa-siswi kelas 5 juga memamerkan karya mereka berupa koran kelas dan klub komik. Dan untuk menguatkan rasa cinta kita terhadap budaya nasional kita, kelas 6 (Grade 6 : Effiel Tower) memperesentasikan kekayaan budaya Nusa Tenggara dan mengajak para audiens untuk mendukung keikutsertaan "Taman Nasional Komodo" sebagai bagian dari "thenew 7 Wonders" dengan memberikan suara (vote) pada taman nasional ini. Selain disuguhi dengan penampilan tari, drama dan presentasi budaya, para pengunjung juga berkesempatan untuk mencicipi hidangan khas Kalimantan dan Nusa Tenggara yang ditawarkan oleh siswa-siswi dan beberapa guru lazuardi Cordova. Terima Kasih kepada semua pihak yang telah membantu penyelenggaraan acara ini, dan semoga acara ini dapat meningkatkan rasa cinta kita terhadap kekayaan budaya indonesia.

Memasak Pelangi

Alhamdulilah kegiatan pelangi yaitu memasak di rumah ananda khansa dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Menu memasaknya adalah kentang goreng dan ayam goreng. Anak-anak cukup antusias dan senang. Dalam kegiatan memasak ini anak-anak telibat secara penuh, seperti memotong dan juga mengoreng selain kegiatan memasak, di isi dengan berenang dan menonton film. Setelah masakan sudah matang anak-anak makan bersama-sama.

Book Day'2011

LazCor Book Day 2011 merupakan kegiatan tahunan yang diadakan oleh sekolah lauardi Cordova GIS dalam rangka merayakan hari buku yang berisikan kegiatan talk show serta beragam perlombaan antar sekolah.

Tahun ini, Lazuardi Cordova mengusung konsep book charity dengan tema “Books for All, All for Books”. Dengan mengundang Bapak Hernowo (pengarang buku dari penerbit Mizan) sebagai pemateri talk show serta dimeriahkan dengan beragam perlombaan seperti: lomba mewarnai gambar tingkat Pra TK dan SD, menggambar dengan pola tingkat TK, Menggambar Bebas dengan Tema tingkat SD, Spelling Bee, Book Synopsis, dan Mengarang Cerita.
